What is Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology?
We can all use more confidence on the road in an increasingly crowded and distracted world. Introducing a suite of features to help keep you in command from the driveway to the highway. Ford Co-Pilot360 is a suite of driver-assist features that can help you drive more safely. The system includes Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert. These advanced safety and driver-assistance features are designed to help drivers navigate the roads safely, including a range of features. Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking
We should all drive defensively, but sometimes, other people's lack of attention can create a hazard. This feature scans the road ahead and can alert you to potential collisions with vehicles or pedestrians detected in your path. If an impact becomes imminent and you don't take corrective action, the brakes can apply automatically.
Blind Spot Information System
How often have you tensed up during an attempted lane change on a busy freeway? With the Blind Spot Information System or BLIS, or as Ford calls it, you won't have to bother your passenger with "Can I get over?" This feature can help detect and alert you to vehicles in your blind spot, while Cross-Traffic Alert can see traffic behind you when you're slowly backing out of a parking spot or driveway. The system uses sensors to detect other vehicles in the blind spot and alerts the driver with an indicator light in the side mirror.
Lane Keeping System
It has happened to everyone at one time or another. Maybe you're caught up listening to your favorite podcast or need your morning latte, but you wandered a little too close to the edge of your lane. Ford's Lane-Keeping System can help you stay in your lane even when distracted. This innovative feature scans your vehicle's position between the lines in the road ahead and can alert you if you're starting to edge out of your lane and having trouble staying on track. After you drifted a few times, you'll see a coffee cup icon letting you know it's time to take a break.
Rear View Camera
Backing up requires multitasking between glancing in the rearview mirror and craning your neck. So we help make it easier. The rearview camera may not be an extra set of eyes, but it does provide a great view of what's behind your vehicle. Just keep the camera lens debris-free, and you can confidently navigate Reverse.
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control includes Speed Sign Recognition, Stop-and-Go, and Lane Centering features. Once you've activated the Speed Sign Recognition feature and set your preferred speed, the system can detect and automatically adjust your speed to match the signs it reads along your route. It can also bring your Ford to a stop if needed. But, of course, that's not the only way it enhances your cruise control experience. The Lane Centering feature even scans lane marking to help you keep your vehicle centered between the lines.
