Trim Levels of the 2020 Ford Explorer

An essential player in the SUV market, the best-selling Ford Explorer returns in a big way in 2020! Like previous models, the 2020 Ford Explorer comes with a unibody design that features a chassis made of sheet-metal stampings welded together forming the main structure of the vehicle. The new frame has a rear-wheel-drive architecture with a longitudinal engine and transmission. With this, the all-new 2020 Explorer makes a return to its famous rear-drive roots. The new Explorer XLT is amply powered with the ability to merge on to freeways and sustain highway speeds with the greatest of ease. Additionally, the automatic stop/start system not only gives you tremendous fuel efficiency but functions so smoothly, there is no need to shut it off. With five trim levels, the 2020 Explorer is filled with a ton of features. Take a drive with us as we break down them all!

Base

Base, XLT, and Limited trims come with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque.
