The 2024 Ford Ranger is All-New

With the  XL, XLT, and Lariat trims of the 2024 Ranger, you will see it has a four-door SuperCrew body style, adding a five-foot bed. Front-wheel-drive comes standard, but it comes with a rear-locking differential, and you have the option of four-wheel-drive that also has a rear-locking differential. All of these things contribute to a terrific driving experience! In addition, the wheelbase and track come with two inches of improved stability, and the shocks have been moved outside the frame rails, improving ride quality and control. The standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine carries over, and it pumps out 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, but there is a new engine in the form of a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 that delivers a massive 315 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. These engines pair with a ten-speed automatic transmission, which gives you a smooth ride! 

The Raptor trim has officially made its way to the Ranger, with various exciting off-road features. This spectacular trim comes exclusively with four-wheel-drive and has a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that dishes out 405 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque and pairs with a ten-speed automatic transmission which adds paddle shifters for the perfect manual sifting experience. Several drive modes are available, including Normal, Tow/Haul, Sport, Slippery, Off-Road, Rock Crawl, and Baja. The turbo keeps spinning for three seconds once the driver takes their foot off the accelerator in Baja mode so that the turbo will be spooled up and ready for action. This is undoubtedly an exciting prospect, and we know you will be excited to find out how superb this vehicle is for yourself. 

Each trim level has a unique interior, and most will come with a soft-touch surface, and the seats are very comfortable, especially on the Lariat trim. The air-conditioning controls are physical dials, and the fantastic shifter is sturdy in the palm of your hand. When you move to the outside of the Ranger, you will find that it has an improved front end that takes design cues from the Ford F-150 with its C-shaped headlights and taillights. There are also specific front fascias for each trim level, cool-looking fender flairs, and optional body-color wheel arches. However, the fun begins when we talk about the tech for this pickup! For starters, the Ranger comes with Active Park Assist 2.0, which will help maneuver into parallel and perpendicular parking spaces, and there are also a lot of safety features here as well including forward collision warning, evasive steering assistance, traffic sign recognition, post-collision braking, and adaptive cruise control. You also get plenty of off-road equipment, such as a terrain management system with drive modes for sand and snow. There is even a Trail Control System that will easily navigate your off-road excursions. You also get a forward-facing camera, an optional 12.4-inch instrument panel, and the option of a 10 or 12-inch touchscreen that comes with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 

Towing for the Ranger is exceptional for a truck of this size, as it can haul up to 7,500 pounds, but Ford has added some fun tech to make things a little easier, as you can now program ten trailers into the system so that your blind-spot warning will cover the length of the trailer. In addition, a new integrated trailer brake controller and the innovative Pro Trailer Back-Up feature take the complicated steering out of the equation as you reverse the trailer. All the driver needs to do is turn the knob on the dash in the direction they want the trailer to go. We should also mention the Trailer Reverse Guidance, which has a 360-degree camera showing everything behind you. The Ranger can haul  1,805 pounds in the bed, and the side steps are much appreciated.
