In a lot of ways, charging your EV at a public charging station feels very similar to visiting a gas station. Next, drive up to a charging station so that the port is facing the cable. Plug in your car, and listen to the click to ensure it’s fully plugged in. From there, your car will send the machine information about how much energy it needs, and your battery will begin to charge. It will go slowly at first, and then ramp up in speed as the charge goes on. Once the battery is about 80% charged, it will slow down again. To save time, you can always stop your charge there, and then finish off charging at home.
