The 2023 Ford Maverick ushers in the top-rated compact pickup's second model year, bringing just a few changes and updates. For 2023, the Ford Maverick XLT and Lariat trims now offer Tremor Off-Road and Tremor Appearance packages. The Tremor Off-Road package has a dedicated suspension setup with a raised ride height and an advanced all-wheel-drive system. In addition, two new colors are now available on the Maverick, Atlas Blue Metallic, and Avalanche Gray.
How much can the Ford Maverick tow?
Being a new compact pickup is rare enough. The only real rival is the Hyundai Santa Cruz. But having a hybrid drivetrain as standard puts the 2023 Maverick in a class of one. The standard hybrid drivetrain in the Maverick is a 191-horsepower, 2.5-liter Hybrid powertrain with enough muscle to get up to freeway speed without stress. It also achieves a remarkable 42 mpg in the city. The available gas engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that pumps out 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is only available with the optional gas engine and offers a maximum towing ability of 4,000 pounds.

With a transformative unibody design that minimizes the center floor hump, there's ample leg room for all five passengers, even the one in the middle seat. You can always be prepared.
