Back Your F-150 Up Like a Pro!
Available Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Pro Trailer Hitch Assist improve driver confidence by letting the driver steer the trailer instinctively while controlling the accelerator and brakes – the truck takes care of the rest. Pro Trailer Hitch Assist controls the throttle, braking, and steering to automatically back the truck up and align the conventional hitch ball to the trailer receiver.
Smart Trailer Tow Connector
Stay informed if your trailering lights go out. With the Smart Trailer Tow Connector system, you will be informed if something regarding your trailer needs attention. For example, you can find information like when your tow or turn indicator lamps are out or if there are brake lamps or trailer battery problems vis the tow activity screen.
Hook Up to Your Trailer on the First Try!
Trailer Reverse Guidance and Dynamic Hitch Assist use high-definition cameras to provide multiple views and helpful steering guidance graphics to support and maneuver a conventional trailer. Once you place your F-150 in Reverse, the system will be your on-screen guide to help you align your hitch with a trailer using the lines that indicate the direction your truck will travel—no spotter needed.
Never Be Over Loaded Again!
Onboard Scales provide real-time weight estimates of the total vehicle weight and cargo weight of an F-150. The Onboard scale is a first-in-its-class system that helps estimate the approximate payload weight. You can then view onboard scales status through the SYNC 4 screen or via a LED visual display in the taillamps that lets you know your laid status as you add a payload. That way, you know that you're carrying is balanced and doesnt exceed the weight your vehicle can handle.
Ford's Smart Hitch Keeps You Balanced!
The Smart Hitch measures the trailer tongue load weight. This system indicates how much weight has been loaded, letting you know if the truck is within the maximum ratings. This system works with all trailer types. It activates through your touchscreen to determine whether your trailer weight is distributed correctly. Smart Hitch measures the tongue weight of your trailer through the connection process, calculating its appropriate weight.
